Our garden terracesdodo

Our gardens are adapting to their environment a little more each year. The trees and shrubs are setting down roots and getting taller and broader. Our buildings now look like they have always belonged, our medicinal herb roof is flourishing and our new visitor’s pavilion is nestling in at wood’s edge. Despite overly abundant rainfall on summer 2008, our drainage was adequate and we had excellent control of runoff by directing the excess water toward our irrigation basins and setting up a rainwater tank to supply the zero-gravity toilets in our garden office. Thanks to this “frog” water, we can use our garden office until December, which allows us to finish compiling data and completing our medicinal herb cultivation research.

Garden Tours

For a second year, we welcomed nearly 800 people, happy to resume our educational activities.Teh gardens will open again in July and August 2010. Taking into account the fact that a new building will be located at the bottom of gardens in summer 2010, the garden visits will take place over three days / week for this summer. Thus, we will be able to harmonize the work of construction and the arrival of visitors.
